Best Places to Eat and Stay in Siargao: Ultimate Food and Accommodation Guide

Siargao isn’t just about crystal-clear waters and surf-perfect waves; it’s also a paradise for food lovers and those looking for cozy, unique stays. On our recent week-long trip, my husband, our daughter Nyah, and I wanted to enjoy the island at our own pace: eating, exploring, and soaking in the laid-back vibes.

Renting a motorcycle gave us the freedom to discover hidden gems, stumble upon quiet spots, and make last-minute decisions without worrying about schedules. Some of our best memories weren’t planned — like finding the perfect gelato, having an impromptu dinner date, or watching Nyah’s eyes light up when she saw her favorite dish on the table.

Here’s our personal guide to the best places to eat and stay in Siargao, filled with family-tested recommendations, hidden gems, and small indulgences that made our trip unforgettable.

Where to Eat in Siargao

Kurvada

We tried Kurvada for dinner, and it was bustling — Holy Week meant locals and tourists were everywhere. The fresh tropical dishes were vibrant and flavorful, though the crowd made it a little tricky to get your food.

Lesson learned: arrive earlier in the evening if you want to enjoy the experience stress-free, or avoid peak holidays altogether. One fun approach is to choose the viands you want first, pile them on one plate, and then look for a table. Watching Nyah carefully pick her favorite dishes while the lively crowd buzzed around us turned what could have been chaos into a fun little adventure.

Kermit Surf Resort & Restaurant

Kermit became an instant favorite — not because of bowls, but for their homemade pizza loaded with provolone, gorgonzola, parmesan, and everything delicious in between. Each bite felt like a little celebration, and Jason and I treated it as a mini dinner date.

We also shared the Pappardelle All Antonio, rich and comforting, along with the Kermit Garden Salad topped with sesame-crusted tuna, which perfectly balanced the richness of our other dishes.

Beyond food, Kermit also offers yoga classes, which is a thoughtful touch for wellness-minded travelers. The morning sessions are held under the shade of swaying palm trees, and you can stretch, breathe, and start your day grounded before heading out to explore the island. Eating well, moving well, and relaxing well — it’s all in one spot.

CEV: Ceviche & Kinilaw Shack

Our family dinner at CEV was a “once-in-a-blue-moon” treat. Each of us picked one main course — Guyam, Santa Fe, and Daku, and we shared a plate of Fried Spring Rolls as an appetizer. The seafood was fresh, and every bite was rich with local flavor.

CEV really takes the traditional Filipino ceviche to a whole new level. Fresh, vibrant, and perfectly paired with an ice-cold San Mig Light.

It was the kind of dinner where we laughed, passed dishes around, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of eating together as a family. Being surrounded by the warm, casual ambiance made the evening feel relaxed and indulgent at the same time.

Halika

For an easy afternoon break, we stopped by Halika—and it instantly delivered that slow island feeling. The open, relaxed space invites you to pause, breathe, and stay a little longer than planned.

What began as a simple snack stop turned into a shared family moment when all three of us ordered gelato. Under the tropical sun, every scoop felt like a small reward. Halika is the kind of place that quietly pulls you in—perfect for recharging without losing the local flavor.

Cabuntog Surf Café

After long hours island hopping or exploring on our motorcycle, Cabuntog Surf Café became our go-to ice cream spot.

I loved picking my favorite flavor, and each bite of the creamy, refreshing dessert felt like a mini celebration. The café’s cheerful, sun-drenched atmosphere made it the perfect post-adventure stop.

Shaka Bowls (Cloud 9)

Shaka Bowls is a must for smoothie and acai bowl lovers. Fresh, colorful, and energizing, it’s the perfect stop after a morning surf session or a stroll along Cloud 9. The bowls are not only visually appealing but also packed with flavor and nutrients, a treat that feels wholesome while still being indulgent.

Bravo Restaurant

Bravo Beach Resort Siargao

We enjoyed Bravo for its casual, lively atmosphere. The food is straightforward and satisfying, perfect for families or groups who just want good comfort food without frills. It was fun to watch locals and travelers mix over shared tables, giving a true sense of Siargao’s friendly community vibe.

Big Belly Burgers

When hunger strikes after a full day of island adventures, nothing hits the spot like Big Belly Burgers. The moment you sink your teeth into a juicy, flavor-packed burger, all the sun, sand, and motorcycle rides melt away—pure satisfaction in every bite.

With hearty portions and a casual, lively vibe, it’s the perfect place to recharge, laugh, and savor a well-earned reward. Big Belly Burgers isn’t just a meal; it’s a delicious pause that makes your Siargao day feel complete.

Isla Cusina

Another gelato stop! Here, we tried brioche buns with ice cream, and Nyah loved it. It’s a quirky, fun experience that combines curiosity and dessert indulgence, and it definitely made our afternoon sweeter.

Guyam Island Burger (During Island Hopping)

During our island tour with clients, we discovered the famous Guyam Island burger. Eating a simple burger surrounded by turquoise waters and swaying palms made it a surprisingly memorable experience — a tiny, perfect slice of island life.

For a casual snack or quick bite, Kanaway Snackbar is a fun and lighthearted stop. Owned by local celebrity Andi Eigenmann, it draws attention, but it’s the food that keeps people coming back.
