No Siargao trip is complete without visiting the Magpupungko Rock Pools. Timing your visit with low tide reveals natural tidal pools that are safe and fun for swimming.


Nyah had a blast exploring the shallow pools, and it was also a great opportunity for some family photos. The pools are easy to navigate and perfect for kids and adults alike.

One of the highlights of our trip was gliding along the Maasin River in a small canoe. The water was calm, the palm trees lined the banks, and it felt so peaceful just drifting along. We stopped at the Secret Lagoon, a natural mini-pool with cool spring water.


There’s also a small jumping spot where visitors can take a leap into the water if they want. A local paddled us there, and it was the perfect place to soak and enjoy a quiet moment together, just me, Nyah, and my husband, with no crowds and no rush.
Kayaking at Sugba Lagoon
Another activity we loved was kayaking at Sugba Lagoon. The water is calm and turquoise, surrounded by lush greenery, making it feel like you’re paddling through a hidden paradise. From the Del Carmen port, it’s about a 20–30‑minute boat ride through the mangrove forest before you reach Sugba Lagoon, a scenic journey that feels like part of the adventure itself.


Nyah and I stayed in our kayak while my husband guided us along the lagoon, letting us enjoy the scenery and serenity at our own pace. There are also small spots along the lagoon where you can stop, soak your feet, or just take in the views, making it a perfect relaxed family adventure.
